Lab Assistant

Job Description & Responsibilities

The Lab Assistant will support academic laboratory activities by assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 Prepare laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials for practical classes  Assist faculty during laboratory sessions and student experiments  Ensure proper setup and shutdown of lab equipment before and after sessions  Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety of the laboratory  Label, store, and safely handle chemicals, tools, and specimens  Maintain lab registers, stock records, and usage logs  Monitor availability of lab consumables and inform faculty for procurement  Assist in routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment  Ensure compliance with laboratory safety rules and college policies
