Job Description
- Job Description: CNC Lathe Machine Programmer
- Position: CNC Lathe Machine
- ProgrammerDepartment: Production / Manufacturing
- Experience: 2–5 Years
- Qualification: Diploma / ITI / Mechanical Engineering
- Key Responsibilities:Develop
- CNC Lathe programs using FANUC controls.
- Create CAM programs (Advanced CAM knowledge required).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining symbols.
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings for machining operations.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Optimize machining processes to improve cycle time and tool life.
- Verify programs using simulations and trial runs.
- Troubleshoot machining errors, tool offsets, and dimensional issues.
- Ensure all machining operations meet quality and tolerance standards.
- Maintain records of programs, tool sheets, and setup sheets.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Skills Required:Strong knowledge of FANUC control programming (G-code & M-code).
- Advanced CAM programming skills (Mastercam / Powermill / Fusion 360 or similar).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for part modeling and drafting.
- Understanding of GD&T, tooling, and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of machining materials (MS, SS, Aluminum, Brass, etc.).
