Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – PostgreSQL Engineer L2/L3 

Responsibilities 

• Perform daily monitoring and administration of PostgreSQL databases across various environments. 

• Manage database user accounts, roles, privileges, and schemas as per security guidelines. 

• Perform backup, restore, and routine maintenance activities using pg_dump and Commvault integration. 

• Monitor database performance using Splunk and AWS CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor dashboards. 

• Apply database patches, upgrades, and routine health checks under guidance from L3 DBAs. 

• Troubleshoot connection issues, locks, and replication lag alerts in multi-node setups. 

• Respond to incidents and service requests in ServiceNow while maintaining SLA compliance. 

• Maintain documentation of DB configurations and update records in CMDB. 

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline. 

• Good years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration in enterprise environments. 

• Hands-on with pgAdmin, psql, and basic SQL performance troubleshooting. 

• Knowledge of backup/recovery tools and ITIL incident management processes. 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills 

• Primary: PostgreSQL 11+, pgAdmin, AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, ServiceNow. 

• Secondary: Linux, Ansible, Splunk, CloudWatch, Jenkins, Git. 

• Certifications: PostgreSQL Professional Certification preferred.
