Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Quality Analyst -Automation with Selenium expertise - Automated testing 

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing manual tests, as well as writing and running automated tests. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in developing automation frameworks and Selenium. This role requires the ability to work independently, take ownership of automation initiatives, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Test design & execution – Define test plans and author & execute test cases for Appian applications across functional, regression and UAT cycles. 

• Automation – Build and maintain automated tests using FitNesse for Appian, Cucumber, and Appian Selenium APIs; contribute to regression packs and platform-release regression runs. 

• Defect management – Raise, triage, track and retest defects (Jira), collaborating closely with developers and SMEs; participate in daily defect triage forums. 

• Test data & environments – Prepare test data; coordinate environment readiness and execution scheduling for SIT/IAT/UAT (including daily execution reporting). 

• API & data validation – Validate REST/SOAP APIs and data integrity using SQL and tooling; confirm end-to-end flows across integrated systems. 

• Reporting & CI – Publish execution/automation results and support CI jobs for scheduled runs. 

• Ways of working – Contribute in Agile ceremonies, provide test estimations, and collaborate within DevOps-style delivery teams. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• Relevant years of Appian testing experience and at least overall experience in the testing domain within enterprise environments, with strong handson expertise in functional and regression testing. 

• Automation for Appian using FitNesse for Appian, Cucumber, Appian Selenium APIs and maintaining reusable regression suites. 

• Defect lifecycle management with Jira, including structured triage and traceability. 

• SQL and data validation for verifying workflow outcomes and back-end consistency. 

• API testing (REST) and understanding of performance testing concepts/tools. 

• Agile/DevOps delivery experience. 

Desirable 

• Proven experience in preparing SIT, IAT and UAT artefacts, along with providing clear daily status reporting. 

• Familiarity with Appian’s quarterly release cycles and upgrade processes. 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including publishing automated test reports. 

• Strong understanding of the banking domain, including core banking processes, regulatory expectations and financial services terminology. 

Education & Certifications 

• Tertiary qualification in IT/Engineering or equivalent experience. 

• ISTQB certification (Foundation or above) preferred. 

• Appian Associate/Practitioner-level knowledge advantageous. 

Minimum Qualifications 

• B.Tech/B.E/ MCA 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
