Legal Manager

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Legal Manager to oversee legal affairs, provide expert advice, manage litigation, and ensure regulatory compliance across our branches. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of banking/NBFC legal frameworks and be capable of independently handling court-related matters.

• Key Responsibilities:- Represent the company in civil, criminal, and consumer court matters across Hyderabad and occasionally in Vijayawada & Visakhapatnam.
• Draft, review, and vet various legal documents, including agreements, notices, contracts, loan documents, MoUs, and affidavits.
• Coordinate with external advocates and ensure timely follow-up on litigation cases.
• Provide legal advisory support to internal teams (Operations, Collections, HR, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, RBI/NBFC guidelines, and internal policies.
• Handle recovery-related legal actions such as Section 138, arbitration, and civil recovery suits.
• Manage dispute resolution, consumer cases, and respond to legal notices.
• Maintain updated records of cases, documentation, and regulatory filings.
• Conduct periodic legal risk assessments and suggest process improvements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor of Law (LLB) from a recognized institution (mandatory).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Legal roles, preferably in the Banking or NBFC sector.
• Strong understanding of financial industry regulations, loan recovery processes, and compliance matters.
• Ability and willingness to visit courts in Hyderabad regularly.
• Flexibility to travel to other locations (Vijayawada & Visakhapatnam) when required.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multi-tasking and work under time-sensitive matters.
• Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.

Preferred Attributes: Experience in litigations related to loan defaults, arbitration, consumer disputes, and cheque bounce cases.

• Knowledge of RBI/NBFC compliance frameworks and regulatory reporting.
• Prior involvement in coordination with law enforcement agencies and statutory authorities.
