Linux & Cloud Support Engineer

Ametecs India Private Limited is looking for a skilled  Linux & Cloud Support Engineer who can manage Linux servers, handle cloud infrastructure, and perform server installations, configurations, and troubleshooting. The candidate should have hands-on experience in server administration and cloud environments.

Eligibility: 2-10 years experience candidates

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers
• Manage cloud servers and infrastructure 
• Perform server and application installations
• Configure and manage web servers (Apache / Nginx)
• Handle database installations and basic administration
• Monitor server performance, uptime, and system health
• Implement security policies, firewall rules, and system updates
• Manage backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes
• Troubleshoot server, network, and application-related issues
• Provide technical support to internal teams and clients
• Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and reports

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Linux server administration
• Primary experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with exposure to AWS and Azure
• Server installation, configuration, and maintenance skills
• Knowledge of networking concepts (IP, DNS, Firewall, VPN)
• Familiarity with Apache / Nginx web servers
• Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of server security and compliance practices
• Backup and monitoring tools knowledge
• Basic shell scripting skills preferred
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
