 Roles & responsibilities
Responsible for designing and constructing relevant data and information architecture to support a variety of data use cases. The incumbent will architect and implement data concepts and designs while making best practice recommendations for data lifecycle flows, standards, architectures, security, and performance. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining data structures that support business needs and adhere to industry best practices by partnering with data stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
A. Architecture & Design
• Architect and document data model concepts and solutions.
• Create and optimize relevant logical and physical data models using accepted professional procedures to ensure high data quality and limit redundancy.
• Architect end-to-end data management solutions in cloud-native platforms as well as traditional OLTP, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.
• Design and architect data integration processes using ETL/ELT tools, scripts, and stored procedures to load data from multiple source systems.
B. Strategy & Governance
• Work with key project stakeholders to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual data models.
• Provide expertise in Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, including integration, sourcing, data services, de-duplication, and data archiving.
• Understand and translate business needs into data models that support long-term, scalable solutions.
C. Project Delivery & Client Engagement
• Support the delivery of data and AI engagements, including defining objectives and managing risks in data, modeling, and delivery.
• Engage with clients for data source discovery and creation of data requests; lead data discovery and ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
• Support the creation of analytics and machine learning models through all phases, from design to implementation.
• Define, monitor, and report key business metrics; design and manage reporting processes and dashboards.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
Data Modeling: Expertise in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Experience with data modeling tools such as ERWin, ER Studio, Power Designer, or IBM Data Architect.
Data Integration: Experience architecting data integration processes using ETL/ELT tools, scripts, and stored procedures.
Databases & Platforms: Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
Cloud Data Platforms: Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or MS Fabric.
Architecture: Deep familiarity with Data Lake/Data Warehouse architecture, dimensional modeling, data profiling, and source-to-target mapping best practices.
Data Governance: Strong understanding of data governance and management strategies, including data standards, data policies, and metadata/master data management.

Educational qualifications 
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
Work experience
5+ Years of Data Architecture or related technical experience.
