Job Description
- Job Responsibilities:Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals as per drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.
- Set up and operate MIG welding machines, including selection of proper wire, gas, and parameters.
- Ensure weld quality, strength, and finish as per company and customer standards.
- Inspect welded components for defects and carry out minor rework or corrections if required.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets and timelines.
- Perform basic grinding, cutting, and fitting work related to welding operations.
- Skills & Competencies:Good knowledge of MIG welding techniques and parameters
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Basic knowledge of welding safety standards
- Attention to detail and quality consciousness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
