As a Patient Experience iCare Exchange Snowflake Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions that directly support our patient services mission. This position combines deep technical expertise in Snowflake with a strong commitment to patient privacy, data security, and healthcare compliance standards.

You will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing Snowflake-based data solutions that enable Sanofi to deliver exceptional patient experiences while maintaining the highest standards of data protection and regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities

Digital Patient Experience team is seeking a skilled Python Senior Developer with a strong background in Python and experience with AWS services. The ideal candidate will have at least 6-8 years of experience in software development and be proficient in various technologies, including GitHub, Terraform, and SQL. Strong experience in SQL or any relational database is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using the technology stack used across the company and list below.

• Code Reviews & Best Practices: Ensure code quality through peer reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards.

•  Agile Development: Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating with product managers and designers to deliver features efficiently.

• Conduct thorough user story reviews to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business requirements.

• Perform comprehensive code reviews and pull request (PR) reviews to maintain code quality standards.

• CI/CD & DevOps: Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and automation strategies.

• Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Security & Compliance: Ensure applications follow best security practices and industry compliance standards.

• Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for reference and future development

• Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and Step Functions to build scalable and efficient solutions.

• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.

• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.

Healthcare Compliance and Patient Data Protection

• Maintain strict adherence to Sanofi Patient Services standards and compliance requirements.

• Ensure all solutions comply with PHI (Protected Health Information) and PII (Personally Identifiable Information) regulations.

• Implement GDPR-compliant data handling, storage, and processing practices.

• Maintain patient data safety and privacy as the highest priority in all technical decisions.

• Participate in compliance audits and implement remediation actions as needed.

• Stay current with healthcare data regulations including HIPAA, GDPR, and other applicable standards.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development.

• Proficiency in Python programming & scripting for data processing and automation.

• Hands on experience with Terraform

• Experience with AWS services (Athena, Lambda, API Gateway, Cloudwatch, S3, AWS Sync, Step Functions).

• Strong experience in troubleshooting AWS services like API gateway, Lambdas, Step Functions, EventBridge

• Knowledge of Splunk / AWS monitoring tools

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices to streamline development and deployment workflows.
