JOB POSITION

  • Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking for an Associate Physical SecSyst ops.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Coordinate in formulating & executing security plans, supervises execution of the team’s functions in protecting and safeguarding of Company assets including personnel, property (assets & facility) and proprietary information. Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures for security area.
  • Ensure adherence to site post orders, standards, guidelines on physical security operations.
  • Engage stakeholders, internal partners, and peers associated with the security and safety functions to ensure smooth delivery of security operations.
  • Drive vendor governance of the security guard force by tracking agreed SLAs, generate performance scorecard, track security compliances, report non-conformity and follow up with the vendor for closure.
  • Ensure monthly management review meets are done with the vendor to track their compliance and performance.
  • Ensure all security staff deployed at site are trained, have relevant skills and competency to carryout their work, ensure all trainings are carried out as per the training calendar and schedule.
  • Ensure regular performance testing is done through penetration and validation testing and learnings are captured and tracked till closure.
  • Participate in the planning, exercise, or execution of the crisis/incident response /any Business response and recovery plan as necessary.
  • Responsible for effective implementation of security services in physical and personnel security, managing guarding services, investigation, and security awareness.
  • Develop policies and procedures with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility under the coordination and guidance of site Security manager.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within the Global Security functional area.
  • Ensure adherence to women safety controls as specified by the organization. Ensure transport women security controls around deployment, BVG, trainings of security escorts are done in accordance to the guidelines.
  • Coordinate and ensure that security agency deploys only the qualified and competent security personnel at site.
  • Background checks and police verification is being carried out by the vendor and other joining documents are submitted.
  • Ensure guards are adequately trained and meet quality specified in the Security Policy, SOP and contract document.
  • Ensure all security operations within the site are performed within the approved budget, track budget spent and generate report.
  • Ensure that security and safety equipment (CCTV, ACS, alarms, VMS, flap barriers, FAS, PAS, other FSS equipment, etc.) is functional and properly maintained.
  • Maintain updated inventory of security systems.
  • Respond to Incidents, emergencies, alarms and manage the security and safety Responses.
  • Ensure that all security personnel are trained to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Conduct Security related investigations as directed and make incident report statements as per the requirement.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely entry of incidents and reports.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
  • Drive the location team to conduct periodical training to all guarding force to maintain the skill and competency level.
  • Responsible of locations/ budget expense management in line with allotted budget and book of records in updated condition.
  • Additional jobs and responsibilities as & when required as and when assigned by his Country Security Manager.
  • Conduct periodical Security/ Safety risk assessments for existing locations and new comprehensive assessment for proposed sites.
  • Conduct periodical security self-assessments/audits and periodic inspection of premises.
  • Ensure regular security inspection of facility, assets, security equipment, reports, records, documents, etc. Ensure everything is in line as per security operations requirement, observations are addressed and cleared in specified TAT.
  • Coordinate with EHS Manager for leading, development and execution of health & safety, environmental overall management.
  • Implement and evaluate EHS programs and procedures to enhance EHS awareness and compliance.
  • Coordinate with EHS Manager and lead site safety and health inspections and environmental, audits, assessments, and other industrial hygiene surveys to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices, as well as established corporate procedures and requirements.
  • Assist EHS Manager to review all safety, health related issues, near miss incidents, investigations proactively and reports with clear RCA. Ensure effective CAPA is implemented to prevent reoccurrence with all locations and driving continuous EHS improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with EHS Manager to implement safety and health initiatives including Safe Job Procedures, Standard Practices, PPE requirements, etc. in according with company policies and regulations.
  • Conduct fire drills as per schedule under coordination with EHS Manager.
  • Conduct Fire Safety related investigations as directed and make incident report statements.
  • Direct safety officers & fire wardens on fire safety related administration.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely entry of incidents and reports into GSMS.
  • Coordinate to update and maintain Fire Safety Evacuation Plans.
  • Act as Global security and safety team’s location compliance officer to ensure CLRA compliance as well as various other compliance policies as required.
  • Coordinate with the vendor partner to participate in the monthly CLRA audits and ensure to achieve 100% score. Maintain measurement data of this audit and use it for monthly/quarterly review meeting.
  • Ensure all documents maintained by security team is meeting compliance requirements. Conduct period internal assessments to verify the same.

QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum College graduate from a reputed / recognized University.
  • Master’s degree
  • Certification in CPP, PSP. CFE 

EXPERIENCE

  • Should have at least 5 - 7 years of experience in Corporate Security, security technology, crisis management, risk & intel, investigations, EHS preferably in IT/ITES/BPO sector.
  • Experience in armed forces, law enforcement agencies, paramilitary forces.
  • Experience in handling crisis management, fire safety requirements, health and safety.
  • Hands on experience on handling of security equipment, like CCTV, Access control, barriers, intruder/fire alarms, firefighting equipment, GPS monitoring, DFMD, HHMD, and control panels.

  • Apply highly developed inductive reasoning skills to provide a proactive approach to potential threats.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to take ownership of issues and win buy-in of others.
  • Must be able to use judgment, security, safety & health knowledge and experience to develop programs and make decisions at an enterprise level
  • Strong track record of performance with demonstrated achievements in reducing risks.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to communicate effectively in associated technical and regulatory language.
  • Supports a culture reflective of a commitment to an illness and injury free workplace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and report writing skills.
  • Comfortable and confident to work and deliver unsupervised at the same time willing to take on additional work responsibilities and stand in for team members as required, demonstrating dependability.
  • Possess analytical skills and conversant with basic computer operating system and software. MS office, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Conversant with the local languages will be of advantage. 
  • Strong knowledge of integrated physical security, electronic surveillance, life safety, fire safety and emergency management systems.
