• Key Responsibilities

A. Production & Operations ManagementPlan and manage daily production activities (cutting, polishing, finishing, assembly).

• Ensure production targets are achieved as per schedule.
• Optimize workflow, manpower, and machine utilization.
• Monitor production output and reduce downtime.

B. Quality ControlEnsure all doors meet company quality standards and customer specifications.

• Coordinate with QC team for inspections and defect control.
• Implement quality improvement measures and reduce rework.

C. Workforce ManagementSupervise factory staff (carpenters, painters, machine operators, helpers).

• Handle hiring, training, discipline, and performance evaluation.
• Maintain attendance, productivity, and shift planning.
• Build a culture of accountability and teamwork.

D. Machinery & MaintenanceEnsure all machinery (cutting machines, CNC, polish units) are well maintained.

• Reduce machine breakdowns and ensure preventive maintenance.
• Improve equipment efficiency and lifespan.

E. Inventory & Material ManagementMonitor raw materials (wood, laminates, hardware).

• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability.
• Control wastage and optimize material usage.

F. Cost Control & ProfitabilityMonitor production cost per door.

• Reduce wastage, rework, and operational inefficiencies.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

G. Safety & ComplianceEnsure workplace safety and proper use of PPE.

• Maintain compliance with labour laws, factory rules, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training.
• H. Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with Sales, Dispatch, Purchase, and Accounts teams.
• Prepare daily/weekly production reports.
• Report KPIs: production volume, rejection rate, cost, efficiency.

I. Process ImprovementImplement Lean Manufacturing / process improvements.

• Identify bottlenecks and improve productivity.
• Introduce new techniques or automation where required.
