Job Description for Data Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Data Engineer with over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and optimizing PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases with preferred knowledge of Neo4j Elasticsearch and cloud environments particularly Azure Proficiency in DevOps practices including pipeline management is essential

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineer

Manage and maintain SQL PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases ensuring high availability performance and security

Hands on experience in writing complex db queries query optimizations effective usage of Materialized Views Indexes Triggers Store Procs etc

Optimize database performance through indexing query optimization and regular health checks

Handson experience with any of the ETL tool

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance including analysis of explain plans query tuning and resolving indexrelated problems

Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to understand data requirements

Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes workflows and architecture

Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a teamoriented mindset

Cloud and DevOps Skills

Good Understanding of Storages over any cloud framework

Understand Azure cloud infrastructure and the flow of cloud resources within the architecture

Kafka and CDC

Performunderstanding basic administration of Confluent Kafka

Implement and manage CDC setups from PostgreSQL or MongoDB to Kafka Neo4j or other databases

Ensure reliable data flow and integration between systems using Kafka

Incident Management and Production Support

Provide production support for databaserelated issues good troubleshooting skills

Analyze and resolve databaserelated incidents ensuring minimal impact on business operations

Work closely with infrastructure and application architecture teams to ensure seamless integration of databases within the overall system architecture
