To lead and manage multi-cloud infrastructure operations and transformation across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments, with a special focus on Data & Analytical Cloud Infrastructure on GCP.
The role ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud platforms, driving strong governance, FinOps/SecOps, and collaboration with application and data engineering teams to enable enterprise-scale workloads with best practices for performance, security, and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Cloud Operations & Governance

 

  • Manage and govern multi-cloud operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure ensuring SLA compliance, automation, and availability.
  • Establish and maintain a Cloud Asset Inventory / CMDB with complete lifecycle visibility and integration with monitoring and discovery platforms.
  • Define and enforce strict governance processes covering build, run, incident, problem, and change management activities.
  • Drive automation in provisioning, patching, and monitoring to ensure operational efficiency and standardization.
  • Govern 24x7 Cloud Infrastructure Operations, ensuring proactive management of reliability and performance KPIs.

 

2. Cloud Architecture & Design

 

  • Apply strong knowledge of application architecture and cloud design best practices in developing scalable, secure, and highly available solutions.
  • Collaborate with application/product teams to define cloud infrastructure blueprints aligned with availability, scalability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Design and optimize IaaS, PaaS, and serverless architectures, integrated with middleware, APIs, and message queues (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub, SQS).
  • Enable and review Kubernetes and container-based deployments, leveraging IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Deployment Manager.
  • Ensure design alignment with enterprise reference architectures, security frameworks, and performance optimization guidelines.

 

3. Data & Analytics Cloud Infrastructure Management

 

  • Manage and scale Data & Analytical Cloud Infrastructure requirements across GCP and multi-cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to provision, optimize, and secure data pipelines, storage, and analytical platforms.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of GCP Data & Analytics Services including:
    • BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Composer, Cloud Storage, Looker Studio, AI Platform, and Vertex AI.
  • Support integration of data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines with enterprise applications and APIs.
  • Ensure cost optimization, security compliance, and governance across analytical and data workloads.

 

4. Cloud FinOps & SecOps

 

  • Lead Cloud FinOps governance across multi-cloud platforms ensuring cost visibility, accountability, and optimization.
  • Implement FinOps KPIs and dashboards in collaboration with finance and business teams.
  • Drive Cloud SecOps controls for identity management, compliance, and data security posture management.
  • Utilize CSPM/CWPP tools to continuously monitor cloud compliance, posture, and risk remediation.

 

5. Vendor & Partner Management

 

  • Collaborate with Cloud Managed Services Partners for end-to-end build, run, and transformation activities.
  • Govern partner performance against defined SLAs, KPIs, and governance frameworks.
  • Partner with application and data product owners to ensure smooth delivery of infrastructure and operational alignment with business priorities.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement through automation, observability, and AI-Ops-led operations.

 

6. Leadership & Collaboration

 

  • Provide technical and operational leadership to the cloud operations and data infrastructure teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and process excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with security, networking, and data engineering teams to align architecture and operations with enterprise goals.
  • Lead cloud transformation programs ensuring operational excellence, reliability, and scalability

 

Key Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of application architecture and cloud-native design patterns.
  • Proficiency in data and analytics platforms, cloud architecture governance, and automation frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and vendor governance skills.
  • Hands-on exposure to ITIL, DevOps, and AI-Ops methodologies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with focus on cost, compliance, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications (Mandatory):
    • Cloud Solution Architect Certification – AWS or GCP (mandatory).
    • Preferred: Azure Architect, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), FinOps Practitioner, or Cloud Security certification.
  • Experience:
    • 10–12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Cloud Operations with at least 4+ years in cloud architecture or operations leadership.
    • Strong conceptual understanding of application architecture, server infrastructure, Kubernetes, serverless, and IaaS/PaaS models.
    • Proven experience managing Data & Analytical Cloud Infrastructure with hands-on familiarity in GCP Data Services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Vertex AI, etc.).
    • Demonstrated expertise in Cloud FinOps, Cloud SecOps, and Cloud Governance frameworks.
    • Prior experience working with managed services partners and governing large-scale multi-cloud environments.
