Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant- GitHub Enterprise Migration Engineer
We are seeking a GitHub Enterprise Migration Engineer with a strong understanding of source control concepts and hands-on experience with GitHub repositories, branching strategies, and workflows. This role will focus on planning and executing migrations to GitHub Enterprise Managed Users (EMU), including consolidating and modernizing development platforms.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate has experience working with GitHub Actions and GitHub Apps, and has supported or migrated repositories, pipelines, and integrations from platforms such as Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, or similar SCM tools. This role partners with development, security, and platform teams to ensure smooth migration, minimal disruption to workflows, and adoption of GitHub best practices.

•    Strong understanding of Git fundamentals (repos, branches, PRs, workflows)
•    Experience with GitHub Enterprise and EMU
•    Familiarity with GitHub Actions and GitHub Apps
•    Experience migrating from Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, or similar platforms
•    CI/CD pipeline migration and developer enablement

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
•    Overall IT experience, with strong focus on DevOps, source control, and CI/CD platforms
•    Hands-on experience leading GitHub Enterprise migrations, including repositories, branches, history, issues, and CI/CD workflows
•    Deep expertise in Git and GitHub Enterprise (administration, permissions, policies, integrations)
•    Experience migrating from Bitbucket, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar SCM platforms to GitHub Enterprise
•    Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
•    Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
•    Experience working in enterprise-scale environments with security, compliance, and governance requirements
•    Ability to define migration strategy, risk mitigation, validation, and rollback plans
•    Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
•    GitHub certifications and hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Server
•    Strong knowledge of enterprise security and access controls (SSO, RBAC, secrets)
•    Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
•    Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks
•    Experience with GitHub Advanced Security and enterprise integrations
•    Ability to mentor teams and define GitHub governance best practices
