Principal STEM Content Analyst
We’re seeking a Principal STEM Content Analyst to join our STEM team in Hyderabad, focusing on the Life Sciences & Healthcare (LSH) space. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse, high-performing team and report directly to the Senior Manager, STEM Content. You’ll be responsible for using expertise in the STEM field to improve discoverability of information within one of our databases through the collection, analysis, classification, and curation of novel scientific or technical information from multiple data sources, based on prescribed editorial policies and procedures.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm/M. Pharm) or an equivalent qualification in a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience working with scientific or technical databases, including an understanding of hierarchical data structures.
- Strong exposure to the pharmaceutical industry, including knowledge of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and drug development workflows.
- Hands-on experience in data entry, content management, or scientific data curation.
- Experience in conducting literature and patent research, including the ability to interpret scientific articles, industry reports, and patents.
- Effective stakeholder management capabilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams

- Proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, lookups, filtering, formatting, etc.).
What will you be doing in this role?
- Implementation, and maintenance of editorial content, terminology, and ontological structures, ensuring accurate modeling of entities, and relationships within an ontology driven database.
- Oversee the integration of new source information into the database, ensuring relationship integrity, semantic consistency, and alignment with established editorial standards and data governance policies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for editorial tools and data management workflows, providing guidance, training, and quality oversight to ensure consistent application of editorial and relational rules.
- Partner with operations, product management, and data stakeholders to plan and execute data integration initiatives, aligning editorial workflows with product requirements and downstream consumer needs.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in editorial workflows, recommending and implementing system and process improvements.
- Participate in cross functional and special projects focused on data onboarding, ontology expansion, relationship normalization, and tool enhancements in response to evolving business and customer needs.
- Liaise with internal and external customers to clarify requirements, resolve ontology or data integration issues, and contribute to discussions around content structure, relationships, and usability.
- Monitor procedural, systematic, and data quality issues across editorial database, proactively implementing corrective actions to support long term business and product goals.
About the Team
You’ll be joining a globally distributed and collaborative STEM Content team comprising 7 members in Hyderabad, 4 in the United States, and 1 in Barcelona. The team is responsible for collecting and curating data from patents, news sources, and public datasets to support the development of comprehensive drug portfolios, including APIs.
Hours of Work
This role follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with a workday duration of 8.5 hours. While the primary hours align with the local office schedule, candidates should be flexible to accommodate occasional overlap with US time zones for meetings or collaboration.
During the initial training period, sometime adjustments may be required to ensure effective onboarding.
