Product Manager

Key Responsibilities

 End-to-End Product Responsibilities

●    Own Droptor across:

○    Hardware (electronics + mechanical)

○    Firmware

○    Mobile application

○    User experience

●    Define product requirements, priorities, and timelines

●    Ensure alignment across all components of the product

 Cross-functional Execution

●    Work closely with:

○    Internal engineers and designers

○    External freelancers and vendors

●    Break down requirements into actionable tasks

●    Drive execution through regular follow-ups and clear communication

●    Ensure timely delivery and quality of outputs

 Freelancer &Vendor Management

t●    Identify, onboard, and manage freelancers (industrial design, CAD, UI/UX, etc.)

●    Evaluate work quality and iterate quickly

●    Build a reliable network of external contributors

●    Handle delays, renegotiate scope, and ensure continuity of work

 Field Testing & Clinical Deployment

●    Lead on-ground trials at Aravind Eye Hospital (Pondicherry) - Must be conversant in Tamil

●    Interact with doctors, optometrists, and patients (Tamil required)

●    Design and execute structured testing protocols

●    Translate real-world insights into product improvements

 Product Thinking & Decision Making

●    Anticipate edge cases, failure scenarios, and usability challenges

●    Make decisions under ambiguity and constraints

●    Balance speed vs quality in an early-stage environment

Requirements✅ Must-have:

●    2–5 years of experience in:

○    Product / Program / Operations roles in startups or fast-paced environments

●    Proven ability to drive projects end-to-end

●    Strong experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders

●    Demonstrated ability to manage freelancers or external vendors

●    Tamil speaking (for field work and hospital coordination)

●    Willingness to travel frequently to Pondicherry

Experience with hardware / IoT / medical devices

●    Background in engineering, design, or product

●    Experience in 0→1 product building or early-stage startups
