Job Description

  • 1. Procurement PlanningUnderstand project requirements (construction materials, equipment, services)
  • Prepare procurement schedules aligned with project timelines
  • Forecast material demand to avoid shortages or delays
  • 2. Vendor Sourcing & ManagementIdentify and evaluate suppliers (cement, steel, electricals, plumbing, etc.)
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms
  • Maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors
  • Develop a vendor database and performance tracking system
  • 3. Cost Control & BudgetingCompare quotations and select cost-effective options
  • Ensure procurement stays within the project budget
  • Track market price trends (e.g., steel, cement fluctuations)
  • Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality
  • 4. Purchase Order ManagementPrepare and issue purchase orders (POs)
  • Ensure accuracy in quantity, specifications, and delivery timelines
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
  • 5. Inventory & Material ManagementCoordinate with site teams for material requirements
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages
