Python Developer with AWS and BlackRock Aladdin Expertise

Position Overview

As a BlackRock Aladdin Specialist at Indium , you will play a critical role in supporting, enhancing, and implementing the Aladdin platform for clients in the financial services sector. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize Aladdin solutions, ensure seamless integration with existing systems, and optimize platform performance across the investment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the Life of a Trade across Portfolio Management, Trade Execution, Data Control, Operations, and Portfolio Administration within the Aladdin platform .

• Support and enhance BlackRock Aladdin implementations for asset management clients.

• Configure and customize Aladdin solutions to meet specific client and business requirements.

• Lead or support Aladdin implementation and integration efforts, ensuring smooth interoperability with existing systems.

• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored Aladdin solutions .

• Provide production support , troubleshooting, and issue resolution for the Aladdin platform.

• Maintain and update knowledge bases and documentation , including SOPs, support issues, resolutions, and best practices .

• Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer for internal teams and clients.

Required Experience & Skills

• Hands-on experience with the BlackRock Aladdin platform .

• Prior experience working with an Asset Manager or similar financial services organization with strong exposure to:

  • Order and Execution Management Systems (OMS/EMS)

  • Electronic trading platforms

• Strong understanding of global Asset Management and large asset owners.

• Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex data to stakeholders at varying levels.

• Experience in data manipulation, integration, and visualization of complex datasets.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills .

Technical Skills

• Experience in Aladdin platform customization and support .

• Knowledge of the Julia platform used within Aladdin.

• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as:

  • Python

  • R

  • MATLAB

• Familiarity with APIs and system integrations.

• Experience with AWS , including data management, compute services, and cloud-based deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field.

• Proven experience working with BlackRock Aladdin , with strong knowledge of its features and capabilities.

• Relevant Aladdin or financial technology certifications are a plus.

• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders .

• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on troubleshooting and continuous improvement .
