Position Summary

As part of the Infor Data Services team, the Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for designing and executing automated and performance testing strategies. This role involves building test automation frameworks, collaborating closely with development teams, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage. The engineer will also focus on optimizing application performance and scalability.

Essential Duties

Develop and maintain automation tools and test frameworks, primarily using Java and Selenium.

Collaborate with software engineers and architects to understand application designs and specifications for comprehensive test automation.

Design, implement, and monitor automated test suites and performance tests for web applications and RESTful services.

Configure, run, and monitor cloud environments to run automation scripts.

Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure application scalability.

Develop test strategies, plans, and cases to ensure thorough test coverage and high-quality software delivery.

Coordinate with development and deployment teams to resolve issues and ensure bug-free product releases.

Generate and present summary reports after each sprint, highlighting test results and areas for improvement.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience in automation testing, with extensive knowledge of Java.

Strong coding skills in Java, with experience in using Selenium for web application automation.

Proficiency in using TestNG and Maven for building and managing test frameworks.

Experience with REST API test automation, using Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.

Solid understanding of SQL and experience in data testing.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in performance testing and using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.

Proven experience in leading and mentoring team members in best practices for QA automation.
