About The Grind Cafe

The Grind Cafe is a fast-growing neighborhood café brand focused on serving fresh food, specialty coffee, and quick comfort meals. With multiple outlets already operational, we are now entering an aggressive expansion phase and are looking for a high-energy Retail Expansion & Leasing Manager to help scale our footprint across high-potential locations.


Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and street-smart real estate professional who will aggressively identify, evaluate, and secure retail spaces in prime catchment areas for upcoming The Grind Cafe outlets.

This is a target-driven role for someone who thrives on deal closures, negotiations, and market scouting.

The ideal candidate should be constantly on the ground scouting locations, building broker networks, negotiating with landlords, and closing deals quickly to support our aggressive growth plans.


Key Responsibilities

  • Aggressively scout retail locations across high-density residential and commercial catchments.


  • Identify 600–800 sqft carpet area café-suitable spaces in strong neighborhood markets.


  • Build and maintain strong broker and landlord networks to access off-market deals.


  • Conduct site feasibility analysis including footfall, visibility, accessibility, parking, and demographics.


  • Negotiate commercial terms, rentals, deposits, and lock-in structures with landlords.


  • Drive fast deal closures aligned with company expansion timelines.


  • Work closely with the founders and operations team to evaluate locations and finalize properties.


  • Track pipeline of potential properties and maintain structured reporting.


  • Monitor competitor locations and identify high-potential emerging micro-markets.


Target & Performance Metrics

This is a high-performance expansion role with clear targets:

  • Number of qualified sites identified per month
  • Number of site visits arranged
  • Number of leases signed
  • Expansion pipeline strength


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3–6 years experience in retail leasing / real estate expansion
  • Experience working with QSR, restaurants, retail chains, or franchise expansion
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing ability
  • Excellent broker network across Hyderabad
  • Ability to move fast and close deals under pressure
  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset with ownership mentality
