Job Title: Sales Engineer (2 NOs)

“Involves a combination of technical expertise and sales skills to explain and sell complex products or services. Key duties include conducting product demonstrations, understanding customer needs, designing tailored technical solutions, and acting as a liaison between sales and product development teams. They provide technical support during the sales process and help ensure the final product meets client requirements. ”

Engineer 

Designation: Sales Engineer

Reports

to: Director

Department: Sales & Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

·        Customer interaction: 

Meet with prospective and existing clients to discuss and present products, and to understand their technical needs and challenges. 

·        Technical solutions: 

Design and propose customized technical solutions, and create proposals and presentations that clearly explain the technical details and business value of the product. 

·        Sales support: 

Provide technical support to the sales team to help them better understand and sell complex products. 

·        Product development liaison: 

Act as a bridge between the sales team and the product development team, providing customer feedback to inform product improvements and new feature development. 

·        Post-sales support: 

Provide technical assistance after a sale to ensure customer satisfaction and proper implementation. 

·        Documentation and training: 

Prepare technical documentation, sales materials, and conduct training sessions for clients and sales teams. 

 

Qualifications and skills: -

Education: A degree in Engineering or any related technical field is often required.

·        Technical skills: 

A strong understanding of the company's products and services, often gained through a background in engineering or a related field. 

·        Communication and presentation: 

The ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible way to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

·        Sales and business acumen: 

The ability to identify sales opportunities, understands customer business needs, and negotiates effectively. 

·        Problem-solving: 

Strong analytical skills to assess customer requirements and develop effective solutions. 

·        Interpersonal skills: 

The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
