Job Description

The Sales Manager – Product Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by planning, executing, and managing sales strategies for assigned products. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying market opportunities, overseeing the sales team, and ensuring achievement of sales targets.

  • Key Responsibilities:1. Sales Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales targets.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Identify new business opportunities and plan product penetration strategies.
  • 2. Team ManagementLead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure consistent performance.
  • Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching to team members.
  • Coordinate training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • 3. Customer Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
  • Oversee customer onboarding, inquiries, and after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company policies.
  • 4. Sales OperationsMonitor sales pipeline, lead generation, and conversion metrics through CRM tools.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and present insights to senior management.
  • Ensure the availability of promotional materials, product samples, and marketing support.
  • 5. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with the marketing team to execute product campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and production teams to manage inventory and order fulfillment.
  • Support product development with customer feedback and market insights.
  • Qualifications & Skills:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience:4–8+ years of experience in product sales; minimum 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
  • Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Leadership and team-management capabilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Additional Requirements:Willingness to travel for client meetings, market visits, and business development activities.
  • Strong understanding of the product category and competitive landscape.
