Job Description

Job Title:Team Leader – Merchant Sales (Airtel Payments Bank)

Role Overview:The Team Leader is responsible for managing a team of merchant sales executives, driving merchant acquisition and activation, ensuring target achievement, and maintaining discipline and compliance across the team.

  • Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and motivate a team of merchant sales executives
  • Ensure hiring and onboarding of promoters/executives as Targets

Maintain discipline, attendance, and adherence to company policies

Coordinate with ZM and central teams for escalations and issue resolution

Ensure compliance with KYC and audit requirements

Prepare and share daily/weekly performance reports


  • Eligibility Criteria:Minimum qualification: Graduation preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in field sales / team handling (banking or fintech preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
  • Skills Required:Team handling and performance management
  • Target-oriented execution
  • Market knowledge and planning skills
  • Problem-solving and escalation handling
