Reporting To: Store Manager / Managing Director

Job SummaryThe Salesman is responsible for delivering a premium jewellery buying experience to customers by understanding their preferences, providing product knowledge, demonstrating collections, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires strong communication, product expertise, and relationship-building skills to achieve sales targets while representing the brand’s values of trust, purity, and personalized service.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Handling & SalesGreet customers warmly and create a friendly first impression in the showroom.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable jewellery (gold, diamond, polki, temple, silver, etc.).
  • Demonstrate products, explain features (purity, BIS hallmark, IGI/GIA certificates, weight, making charges, guarantees).
  • Prepare and finalize sales orders, billing, and customer receipts.
  • Up-sell and cross-sell jewellery categories to improve customer experience and overall revenue.
  • Product KnowledgeMaintain updated knowledge of product collections, purity standards, gemstone certifications, and market trends.
  • Understand in-house manufacturing vs. outsourced products and communicate value to customers.
  • Explain customization options, order timelines, and after-sales care procedures.
  • Customer Relationship ManagementBuild long-term relationships through follow-ups, communication, and personal attention.
  • Maintain a professional approach with regular clients, VIP customers, and walk-in customers.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and concerns politely and efficiently.
  • Showroom OperationsEnsure counters are clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.
  • Maintain proper stock arrangement, tagging, and product safety.
  • Assist with inventory counting and coordination with karigars, back-office, and billing team.
  • Maintain showroom discipline, uniform standards, and punctuality.
  • Documentation & ComplianceVerify customer ID for high-value transactions when required.
  • Ensure billing accuracy and follow company policies for returns, exchange, and guarantee.
  • Protect brand confidentiality, customer privacy, and showroom security guidelines.
  • Required Skills & CompetenciesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, polite, energetic, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with customers.
  • Basic computer skills for billing, data entry, and CRM software.
  • Sales negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Knowledge of gold purity, diamond grading, and jewellery types (training will be provided).
  • Preferred Qualifications1–3 years of jewellery showroom experience preferred (freshers may be considered).
  • Knowledge of Hindi, English, and Telugu is an advantage.
  • Experience in retail luxury sales is a plus.
  • Work Timings & EnvironmentFull-time showroom hours (including weekends and festival seasons).
  • Uniform, ID card, and grooming standards must be followed.
