General Summary

 

CommScope is seeking a Senior Application Developer - AI to lead the design, development, and delivery of AI‑enabled enterprise solutions across internal business platforms. This role focuses on architecting, building, and scaling Generative AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation capabilities integrated into modern web and cloud‑based applications.

The Senior Application Developer - AI acts as a technical leader, driving solution design, influencing best practices, mentoring team members, and partnering closely with architecture, security, DevOps, and business stakeholders. The role requires deep hands-on expertise, independent technical decision‑making, and ownership of end‑to‑end AI solution delivery in a production enterprise environment.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

• AI Architecture & Solution Leadership

• Lead the design and implementation of end‑to‑end AI solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards

• Architect and implement Generative AI and LLM‑based solutions, including advanced use cases such as RAG‑driven assistants and intelligent automation

• Define and govern AI integration patterns, prompt strategies, and workflow orchestration

• Ensure AI solutions follow responsible AI, security, and data governance principles

 

• Advanced Application Development & Integration

• Design and oversee backend services and APIs that consume AI capabilities

• Guide integration of AI features into enterprise web applications and business processes

• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, performant, and production‑ready

• Review designs, code, and implementations for quality and maintainability

 

• Cloud & Platform Enablement

• Drive effective use of cloud‑based AI platforms and services

• Partner with DevOps and security teams on CI/CD, monitoring, governance, and cost optimization

• Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies and recommend adoption aligned with business and technology roadmaps

 

• Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and guide junior developers on AI and enterprise application best practices

• Lead technical discussions with architects, functional leads, and business stakeholders

• Own technical documentation, architectural decisions, and solution standards

• Support critical production issues and continuous improvement initiatives

• 5-8 Years of Experience

 

 

 

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

 

Must have,

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise application development
• Strong expertise in Python for AI / ML and Generative AI workflows, including orchestration and data preparation
• Hands‑on experience with Generative AI platforms and LLM services (e.g.  Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio/Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI APIs, Prompt Flow or equivalent)
• Experience designing and implementing RAG‑based and LLM‑powered solutions
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services using modern application frameworks
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Knowledge of enterprise security, authentication, data governance, and responsible AI practices
• Ability to lead technical design, influence standards, and mentor other developers
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills
  
  

Nice to have,

• Preferred experience with Azure AI services and .NET‑based applications
• Experience defining AI frameworks, patterns, or standards at an enterprise level
• Advanced knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search
• Experience guiding or integrating AI solutions into workflow or across low‑code platforms (e.g., Power Platform) as part of a broader enterprise application ecosystem
• Prior experience leading AI solutions from POC to production rollout
• Cloud, AI, or architecture certifications
• Experience working in large, globally distributed enterprise environments
