We are seeking a passionate and innovative Full Stack Developer to join our Engineering Team within Engineering Excellence & Productivity (EXP), Corporate Technology (CT). As a mid to senior-level developer, you will play a key role in building and enhancing our developer portal using Backstage.io, leveraging your expertise in ReactJS for frontend development and NodeJS for backend development. 

 

Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using ReactJS and NodeJS. 

• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software solutions. 

• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability. 

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

• Write unit tests, integration tests, and perform debugging to ensure application reliability. 

• Create and maintain technical documentation. 

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them as appropriate. 

Essential Skills and Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 

• 4-6 years of professional experience in full-stack development. 

• Proficiency in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, TypeScript, ReactJS. 

• Proficiency in backend development with NodeJS. 

• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation. 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI). 

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. 

• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks. 

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and optimize code. 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively. 

Preferred Skills and Experience 

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with additional server-side languages  

• Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL). 

• Understanding of performance testing and optimization techniques. 

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Docker). 

• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana). 

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
