Senior Hardware Quality Engineer

 Senior Quality Engineer in the Quality Department at Diebold Nixdorf Hyderabad location. Responsible for validating and qualifying of new products such as printer, displays, power supply, microcontroller, HDD, RAM etc. Introduction and test of OEM and ODM off-the-shelf products related to Retail and Banking Systems. Engages cross-functionally with other technical / engineering teams.

• Verification and validation as well as introducing the electronic sub systems and components for worldwide use in Retail and Banking Systems.

• Provides product qualification support for cross-functional / multi-disciplinary teams, including vendors, electrical and mechanical engineers and others – to develop new product requirements.

• Actively participate in product definition, execution and testing.

• Performs Design verification testing (DVT) on next generation products, interfacing with engineering and product experts to help drive new product development programs.

• Provides up-to-date, accurate information to colleagues and management.

Must have Skills: 

• Completed master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/electronics engineering, or comparable studies 

• Hands on experience in new product testing & production

• Ability to apply engineering analysis, creative problem solving, attention to detail in finding best solutions

• Understanding the testing process of product and Ability to analyze test data using Excel.
• Hardware product development life cycle
• Hardware brings up (Component / System level)
• DVT (Design Validation testing)
• Failure Analysis (DFMEA)
• Test Plan creation, Functional testing, stress and load testing, reporting and Documentation.
• Programming: Windows Machine: bash script, Linux machine - shell script
• Testing knowledge on RS232, USB, Ethernet interfaces 
• Lab equipment’s handling Oscilloscope, Power meters, AC/DC regulated Power supply, Spectrum analyzer & signal generators.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Interaction with Global suppliers and cross functional teams.

• 7+ Years of relevant work experience.
