Role Profile 

• In this role, you will be joining our Azure Engineering team within Cloud Productivity & Engineering (CPE) as a Lead Platform Engineer – Data Manager.  This team focuses on building, developing, and supporting our Azure cloud platform to accelerate the time-to-market of innovative finance products.  In collaboration with Microsoft, we aim to transform how LSEG leverages the cloud platform. 

• Engage in designing, developing, and building complex cloud services and capabilities. 

• Work alongside architects, developers, and other engineers to ensure efficient Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zone platforms. 

• Active involvement in decision making areas such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery and governance. 

 

Tech Profile/Essential Skills 

• 5 plus years’ experience in designing, developing, and implementing cloud and hybrid Azure Platform solutions. 

• Can demonstrate deep knowledge in setting up Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zones and hands on experience with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework. 

• Prior experience in roles such as Azure administration, development, or Azure-focused DevOps. 

• Previous experience leading and mentoring Cloud teams/Communities of Practice. 

• Proven leadership skills, and capable of building and managing technical teams/communities of practice. 

• Expert knowledge with Azure Data Services & or operated as a Data Engineer/DBA/Data Scientist. 

• Prior experience in one or more: 

• Azure Machine Learning 

• Azure Cognitive Services 

• Azure Open AI Services 

• Azure Data Factory 

• Azure Databricks 

• Azure Cosmos DB 

• Azure Fabric 

• Azure Purview 

• Power BI 

• Azure SQL 

• Familiarity with Azure cloud native components. 

• 5 years’ demonstrable experience with CI/CD pipelines. 

• Proficiency in agile methodologies and CI/CD principles and practices. 

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Gitlab. 

• Adept at collaborating in diverse teams, with excellent communication skills. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
