Role SummaryThe Senior Sales Consultant will drive new business and key account growth for our solar EPC projects by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and closing profitable contracts. The role requires strong technical understanding of solar solutions, consultative selling skills, and experience selling EPC or large capital projects.


Key Responsibilities:-


  • Generate new business for commercial, industrial, and large residential solar EPC projects through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead qualification, site visits, needs analysis, technical coordination, proposals, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of customer needs (load profiles, roof/land constraints, budget, ROI expectations) and position appropriate solar EPC solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, design, and project management teams to develop technically and commercially sound proposals.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and financial analyses (payback, IRR, incentives, tax benefits) to decision-makers.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurately forecast sales, ensuring targets and margins are met or exceeded.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with developers, facility owners, consultants, and other channel partners.
  • Stay current on solar technologies, incentive programs, local regulations, and competitor offerings, and translate this into compelling sales messaging.
  • Ensure high-quality customer experience from first contact through project handoff and after-sales follow-up.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and local market activities to build brand awareness and generate leads.


Qualification:-


  • 5 - 10 years of B2B sales experience in solar EPC, renewable energy, or construction/industrial project sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual revenue and margin targets in a consultative sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, basic design concepts, financing structures, and project delivery models (EPC/turnkey).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including ability to present to C‑level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and standard office tools to manage pipeline, activities, and reporting.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the region for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
