Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with programming in C++.
5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing or launching software products.
Experience in managing and optimizing performance for large-scale computing infrastructure.
Experience in managing architectural patterns and best practices for production environments.
Experience with performance optimization, concurrency, and memory management in system programming.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience with working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Responsibilities

Develop compute infrastructure solutions that enable business growth for multiple Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), specialized and general purpose Virtual Machines (VMs).
Build goals to provide training, interference and computing VM families. Own end-to-end responsibility of enabling the technology to deliver the VM families, ensuring their availability, reliability, and performance, and work with partner teams to realize the goals.
Mentor the team to expand new capabilities that extend the immediate project.
Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
