Grade Levels: Grade (3-5) Social & Middle (Grades 6) & High School Teachers

Job Summary: Sloka International School, Manneguda is looking for an experienced and passionate Social Studies Teacher to join our academic team. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. The role involves fostering a strong understanding of social, political, and environmental issues and encouraging critical thinking among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons as per the curriculum (CBSE).
• Integrate a variety of instructional strategies, including activity-based learning, digital tools, and real-life applications.
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, projects, and assignments that align with learning objectives.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
• Evaluate and document students' progress through regular assessments, classwork, and participation.
• Guide students in developing skills such as critical thinking, debate, analysis of current affairs, and map reading.
• Organize and support co-curricular activities such as quiz competitions, model UN, social awareness campaigns, and exhibitions.
• Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with other subject teachers and academic coordinators to ensure holistic development.
• Attend school meetings, training programs, parent-teacher meetings, and school events as required.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or related field or Any Degree
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of teaching experience in a school. Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply.

Skills Required:

• Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.
• Proficiency in English with excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to incorporate digital teaching tools and smart classroom techniques.
• Creative approach to lesson planning and student engagement.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in student development.
