Software Tester

Job Title: Software Tester / QA Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and prepare test plans and test cases
• Perform manual testing of web and software applications
• Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
• Work closely with developers to resolve defects
• Validate fixes and perform re-testing
• Ensure software meets functional and performance requirements
• Prepare test reports and maintain QA documentation
• Participate in review meetings and quality improvement processes

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Knowledge of Manual Testing concepts
• Familiarity with SDLC models
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Understanding of Bug Life Cycle
• Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail – preferred)
• Good analytical and communication skills
