Job Title: Senior Test Engineer – Mobile App & Product Testing Location: [location: Hyderabad 2 PM to 11 PM / Remote 5PM to 2AM ] About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly communicative Senior Test Engineer to drive quality assurance for our mobile applications and products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional manual testing skills, strong product understanding, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams. You’ll play a key role in validating new features, ensuring seamless user experiences, and maintaining product reliability at scale. Key Responsibilities: â Own the end-to-end testing process for new and existing product features — from requirements understanding to test execution and release validation. â Conduct manual, exploratory, and regression testing across mobile apps (iOS & Android) and web platforms. â Actively participate in feature onboarding, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for new functionalities. â Write clear, detailed, and reusable test cases, test plans, and documentation aligned with business and product requirements. â Report, track, and verify defects using JIRA or other bug-tracking tools, ensuring timely closure with developers and PMs. â Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders — Product Managers, Developers, and Operations — to communicate quality metrics, risks, and timelines. â Prepare test reports and dashboards, highlighting testing progress, issues, and overall product health. â Demonstrate strong logical reasoning and analytical skills to identify edge cases and potential quality gaps. â Champion best practices in testing discipline, process improvement, and product quality ownership. Required Skills and Experience: â 7 - 12 years of experience in manual and product testing, preferably in mobile app testing (iOS and Android). â Proven expertise in test documentation, defect reporting, and quality tracking using JIRA or similar tools. â Strong communication and presentation skills — able to articulate technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. â Experience in feature onboarding, user acceptance testing (UAT), and coordination with multiple teams. â Excellent logical reasoning, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities. â Hands-on experience in writing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test summary reports. â Ability to work independently and take ownership of product areas with minimal supervision. â Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: â Exposure to automation testing tools (Appium, Selenium, etc.) is a plus. â Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or Swagger. â Experience in customer-facing product testing with high scalability and performance focus. â Knowledge of mobile app release cycles, build validation, and version testing.
