Structural Design Engineer

Job Title: Structural Design Specialist (Tekla / STAAD Pro) – Prefab & Steel Structures

Project Overview:

We are SimplyPrefab, a fast-growing prefab construction and modular building company. We are looking for an experienced structural design professional who can support our team with accurate steel structure modeling, prefab detailing, and workflow coordination across design, estimation, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with structural design tools such as Tekla Structures (preferred) and/or STAAD Pro for prefab buildings and steel structures.
• Autodesk Revit, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and Tekla Structures.
• Create and review steel structure detailing, fabrication drawings, connection details, and BOMs.
• Coordinate and integrate models/drawings within our prefab design workflow.
• Maintain smooth data flow between design, estimation, and execution teams.
• Provide technical inputs to improve constructability, stability, and efficiency of designs.
• Support drawing management, revisions, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design for steel or prefab buildings.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Tekla Structures (highly preferred).
• Working knowledge of STAAD Pro, or other structural analysis tools.
• Good understanding of structural workflows, load calculations, and detailing standards.
• Ability to collaborate clearly and deliver on time.
• Experience with prefabricated or modular construction is an added advantage.

• Structural models and fabrication drawings
• BOM/BOQ extraction
• Review and correction of provided drawings
• Coordination updates with our internal team
