System Administrator Staff Engineer (MySQL, C#)

Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.

As a senior engineer in system admin for test infrastructure role, you will be responsible for installation, setup, troubleshooting, debugging and configuring the test infrastructure, OS , applications, services , remote tools, database, VM machine , Server , proprietary applications across different geography

Responsibilities:

• Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues in a heterogeneous environment.
• Install configure and setup required applications on the customize tester
• Setup and configure server and services for test infrastructure , including database , OS , network, Raid, mount point and file system
• Optimize database performance, indexing and troubleshooting issues.
• Communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
• Through understanding of Linux system and network protocols like NFS, CIFS.
• Debug, fix,  Install and  run services like Server setup , DB installation.
• Able to support multiple international sites using remote access methods (VNC, SSH, Remote Desktop).
• Develop and maintain scripts for automating administrative tasks.

Technical Skills:

• Conversant in Red Hat Linux basic administration.
• Conversant in Red Hat Windows 10 basic administration.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Shell) for automation and system administration.
• Basic Ethernet network understanding and ability to configure/update Ethernet configuration on Linux / Unix
• Good exposure in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
• Good understanding SQL
• Exposure to C#/C++ programming is a plus
• Problem solving, self-starter.

Qualifications / Experience:

• B.Tech in IT/Computer Science or related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in lab infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS.
• 5+ years of experience in IT MYSQL/MSSQL Database Domain (On-Prem and Cloud) and C# programming.
• Strong proficiency in MYSQL/MSSQL database management.
• Experience with MSSQL server, Always ON Availability Groups, Replication, Clustering.
• Backup and recovery strategy development and implementation.
• Knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud services.
• Proficient in SQL statement writing and optimization.
• Experience in automating processes using Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Growth mindset and continuous improvement.
• Ability to plan system resource requirements.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
