Job Description

A Telemarketing Executive's primary role is to generate leads and drive sales by contacting potential customers via phone to promote products or services. Key responsibilities include making outbound calls, explaining products, handling customer questions, and updating customer records in a CRM system. The position requires strong communication, persuasion, and resilience to meet sales targets. 


Responsibilities

  • Contacting and qualifying leads: Make outbound calls to prospects, explain products or services, and identify potential customers. 
  • Sales and persuasion: Present products compellingly, persuade customers, and handle objections to drive sales. 
  • Customer relationship management: Maintain detailed records of all calls and customer information in a CRM system. 
  • Follow-up: Follow up with interested prospects to build relationships and close sales. 
  • Customer service: Address customer questions and concerns, resolve complaints, and provide excellent service to build long-term relationships. 
  • Reporting: Prepare sales reports and provide customer feedback to help improve products and campaigns. 
  • Collaboration: Work with the sales team to develop strategies and meet sales objectives. 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills are essential. 
  • Persuasion and negotiation: The ability to persuade customers and handle objections is critical. 
  • Resilience: Must be able to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude. 
  • Organizational skills: Need to manage multiple tasks, handle a high volume of calls, and keep accurate records. 
  • Computer proficiency: Strong computer skills are needed to use CRM software and other tools. 
  • Product knowledge: Must have in-depth knowledge of the products or services being sold. 
  • Education: A high school diploma is often required, and sometimes a bachelor's degree is preferred. 
  • Experience: Previous experience in a sales or telemarketing role is often preferred.
