Test Engineer II

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø  Develop and execute exploratory, manual, and automated tests to ensure product quality.

Ø  Analyze product specs, decompose complicated software systems, and design strategies to test these systems.

Ø  Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Ø  Work as an Agile team member participating in backlog grooming, sprint planning and task estimation.

Ø  Provide metrics upon execution of smoke and regression suites to establish baselines and track quality and efficiency improvements over time.

Ø  Communicate software testing and automation best practices with team, including new and emerging technologies.

Ø  Work closely with internal and external teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

Ø  Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

Ø  Understanding of software testing and optimization methodologies, including executing performance and regression testing and building test plans and cases.

EXPERIENCE:

 

Primary Expertise:  

Ø  Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or Equivalent (BE/BTech/MS/MTech/MCA)

Ø  Experience in implementing large automation projects, documenting workflow and processes, reliable monitoring implementations, optimizing script performance, and delivering high quality, consistent results.

Ø  4 to 6 years of manual testing, test automation, bug tracking and quality management.

Ø  4 to 6 years of successful usage of testing tools, agile and sprint-based projects, with an emphasis on quality.

Ø  Experience with SQL, C#, Java (for automation) and tools like Rally, Jira, Confluence

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+yrs Experience
