TIG Welder

Job Title: TIG WelderDepartment: Production / FabricationReporting To: Production Supervisor / Fabrication In-ChargeJob Summary:The TIG Welder is responsible for performing high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on metal components as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role requires precision, safety awareness, and adherence to production schedules.

• Key Responsibilities:Perform TIG welding on materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and alloy metals.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Set up welding machines, select appropriate electrodes, filler rods, and gases.
• Ensure welds meet quality, strength, and dimensional standards.
• Carry out visual inspection of welds and rectify defects if any.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in good condition.
• Follow safety guidelines, PPE usage, and company SOPs at all times.
• Coordinate with supervisors and quality team to meet production targets.
• Maintain proper documentation related to welding work if required.
• Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of TIG welding techniques.
• Ability to weld thin and precision components.
• Good understanding of welding parameters and metallurgy basics.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Qualification & Experience:ITI / Diploma in Welding or relevant trade preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication industry.
• Experience in precision tools / machine components is an added advantage.
