Transport Executive

1. Vehicle Scheduling

• Plan and schedule lorry trips for goods delivery or pickup.
• Assign drivers and vehicles based on route, load capacity, and availability.
• Coordinate loading and unloading timings with warehouses or clients.

2. Driver Coordination

• Communicate with drivers about routes, delivery schedules, and instructions.
• Track driver locations and ensure timely arrival at destinations.
• Handle driver issues, delays, or breakdowns.

3. Shipment Tracking

• Monitor the movement of lorries using GPS or phone updates.
• Provide status updates to customers or management.
• Ensure deliveries happen on time and safely.

4. Documentation

Maintain transport documents such as:

• LR (Lorry Receipt)
• Delivery challans
• Invoices
• E-way bills
• Record trip details and update logistics software or registers.

5. Route & Cost Management

Plan efficient routes to reduce fuel cost and travel time.

• Monitor fuel usage, toll expenses, and trip costs.

6. Problem SolvingHandle issues like:

• Vehicle breakdowns
• Traffic delays
• Driver absence
• Delivery complaints
• Arrange replacement vehicles if needed.

7. Fleet Maintenance

CoordinationSchedule vehicle servicing and repairs.

• Ensure vehicles have valid permits, insurance, and fitness certificates.
