Job Description

Position Title: B2B Van Driver

Department: Sales & Distribution / Logistics

Reporting To: Logistics Executive / Sales Depot In-Charge

Duty Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: As per route schedule (Typically 6-9 hours/day)

1. Purpose of the Role

The B2B Van Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of milk and dairy products to business customers (hotels, shops, supermarkets, institutions, and distributors) as per the assigned routes and schedules, while strictly following company SOPs and safety standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Delivery & Operations

  1. Deliver milk and dairy products to B2B customers as per the assigned route and time schedule.
  2. Ensure on-time delivery without shortages or delays.
  3. Load and unload products carefully to prevent damage or spillage.
  4. Ensure correct quantity is delivered as per invoice or dispatch sheet.
  5. Collect empty crates, cans, and returns from customers and hand them over at the depot.
  6. Immediately report shortages, excess stock, customer complaints, or delivery issues to the Depot In-Charge or Logistics Executive.
  7. Follow backup route instructions whenever assigned.

B. Vehicle Handling & Maintenance

  1. Drive the company van safely by strictly following traffic rules and safety norms.
  2. Maintain the vehicle in clean and good running condition.
  3. Perform daily vehicle cleaning (washing) and update vehicle condition reports.
  4. Record and submit daily opening and closing kilometer readings accurately.
  5. Do not use any other vehicle without prior approval from the Logistics Manager/Team.
  6. Be fully responsible for vehicle damage due to negligence, including fines and repair costs as per company policy.

C. Documentation & Reporting

  1. Upload inward and outward delivery photos with timestamp and GPS location in the assigned route group.
  2. Maintain daily dispatch documents, route sheets, and stock records properly.
  3. Punch Punch-In and Punch-Out in the App without fail every working day.
  4. Attend reviews, meetings, and training sessions as instructed.

D. Attendance & Discipline

  1. Follow strict attendance and punctuality.
  2. Take leave only after prior approval from HR and the reporting authority.
  3. Follow the 1-month notice period before resignation.
  4. Maintain good behaviour with customers, staff, and the public at all times.
  5. Do not indulge in rude, abusive, or negligent behaviour.

E. Compliance with SOPs & Company Policies

  1. Strictly follow all Company SOPs, safety rules, and operational policies.
  2. Handle company property, products, and documents responsibly.
  3. Maintain strict confidentiality of company routes, customers, pricing, and operations.

3. Skills & Competencies

  • Valid Heavy/Light Motor Vehicle Driving License
  • Minimum 1–3 years of van driving experience in B2B/FMCG/dairy preferred
  • Good knowledge of city routes and traffic rules
  • Basic reading and number skills for handling invoices and quantities
  • Physically fit for loading/unloading
  • Honest, reliable, disciplined, and punctual
