Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations at our Hyderabad facility. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, responsible for designing and implementing robust systems for inventory management, stocking, and logistics. Your primary goal will be to ensure the seamless flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch, maintain impeccable inventory accuracy, minimize damages, and lead a high-performing warehouse team. You will have the autonomy to design and implement robust systems for inventory management, stocking, and logistics, essentially building our warehouse processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

1.     System & Process Development

  • Design, implement, and continuously refine a strategic stocking procedure and warehouse layout to optimize space and efficiency.
  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse functions, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Analyze current workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

2.     Inventory & Stock Management

  • Take full ownership of the company's inventory, ensuring high levels of accuracy and control through a well-managed system.
  • Establish, monitor, and manage clear reorder levels for all SKUs to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
  • Implement rigorous cycle counting and periodic physical stock audit programs, promptly investigating and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for material handling and storage to ensure product quality and minimize damages, shrinkage, and obsolescence.

3.     Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise the daily activities of the warehouse, including the receiving of inbound shipments, quality/quantity verification, and efficient put-away.
  • Oversee the order fulfillment process to ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
  • Manage warehouse equipment and assets, ensuring they are properly maintained and safely operated.

4.     Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the warehouse team, setting clear expectations and performance goals.
  • Train staff on all operational procedures, safety protocols, and inventory management systems.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence.
  • Coordinate effectively with Sales, Purchase, and Operations teams to ensure smooth operational flow and meet customer demands.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 3-6 years of proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing warehouse systems, processes, and inventory control procedures.
  • Strong practical knowledge of inventory management best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP software (experience with Focus is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA in Operations will be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in the furniture, hardware, or building materials industry.
