Welder / Fitter

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to blueprints, layouts, or work orders. The ideal candidate will have experience with various welding techniques and be able to work with precision to produce high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process.
• Perform various types of welding, such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, on metal components.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including welding machines, gas torches, and plasma cutters.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and smoothing prior to welding.
• Monitor the welding process to ensure that it meets quality standards and specifications.
• Inspect welded joints and conduct tests to ensure welds meet company and industry standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and wear proper protective gear at all times.
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Welding certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Welder, with at least [X] years of experience in welding.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Knowledge of welding equipment and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy materials.
• Excellent safety record and adherence to safety protocols.
• Welding certification or training from a technical school is a plus.
