Area Sales Manager – Madhya Pradesh

Location: Indore

Salary: 60,000/- TO 80,000/- per month (depending on experience)


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager (ASM) for the Electrical segment to manage and expand our trade (dealer) network in the assigned territory. The role involves leading a team of Sales Executives, driving sales growth, strengthening dealer relationships, and increasing market penetration in the electrical products segment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a team of Sales Executives to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and expand the dealer network across the assigned territory.
  • Drive trade sales business through strong relationships with dealers.
  • Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and ensure effective territory coverage.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies, schemes, and promotional activities to boost product demand.
  • Identify new market opportunities and appoint new dealers where required.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy outstanding levels.
  • Regularly review market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for order processing, dispatch, and customer support.
  • Submit periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.

Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate Sales Executives.
  • Set clear targets and monitor field activities.
  • Conduct regular market visits along with the team.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Graduate (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred).
  • Experience: 9–10 years in sales within the Electrical / Lighting / Switchgear / Cable industry.
  • Proven experience in dealer network management and trade sales.
  • Strong market knowledge of entire MP region.
  • Strong leadership and team-handling capability.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to build long-term dealer relationships.
  • Result-oriented with strong analytical and reporting skills.
