Assistant Account Manager

Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Accounts Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Book Keeping, direct and indirect taxation, export-import documentation, and Receivables Management. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle direct and indirect tax compliance, assessments, and audits.
• Proficient in receivables management, including end-to-end invoicing, monitoring outstanding balances, managing collections, and reconciling customer accounts to ensure timely and accurate cash flow.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring timely posting and reconciliation of accounts.
• Perform balance sheet matching and month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Oversee the entire payroll process and manage payroll audits, addressing inquiries from tax authorities and auditors, while ensuring that employee records are accurate and up to date.
• Ensure all financial documents (e.g., tax filings, payroll records, financial statements) are accurately filed and organized in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with export-import regulations, including documentation for customs, shipping, and foreign payments.
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Master's degree (B.Com/M.com/MBA/CA finalist) in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting roles, with direct exposure to taxation and export-import operations.
• Strong understanding of TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
• Proficient in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software.
