Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD & Planning Engineer with strong expertise in mapping, surveying software, and project planning. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD drafting, preparing planning documents, and working with geospatial tools like Google Earth, Global Mapper, and Agisoft Metashape for survey data processing, map creation, and project analysis.

Key Responsibilities

AutoCAD & Drafting

Prepare detailed 2D drawings, site plans, layouts, and structural drawings.

Update and revise drawings based on project requirements and site conditions.

Ensure accurate layer management, plotting, and drawing standards.

Coordinate with engineers & project managers for drawing approvals.

Planning & Scheduling

Prepare project schedules, timelines, work breakdown structures (WBS).

Assist in preparing DPRs, BOQs, project sequencing, and work progress reports.

Monitor project progress and update planning dashboards.

Coordinate with site teams to align planning with real-time status.

Survey & GIS Software Expertise

Google Earth

Marking site boundaries, alignment, coordinates, elevation checks.

Creating KML/KMZ files for planning and presentation.

Global Mapper

Handling DEM, satellite imagery, contour generation, GIS-based analysis.

Data extraction for road, land, and infrastructure projects.

Agisoft Metashape

Processing drone/photogrammetry data.

Generating orthomosaic maps, 3D models, point clouds, and elevation models.

Converting processed data into usable CAD/GIS formats.

Required Skills

Strong command of AutoCAD (2D/3D)

Knowledge of project planning tools (MS Project / Primavera preferred)

Proficiency in Google Earth, Global Mapper, Agisoft Metashape

Understanding of surveying data, coordinates, and mapping techniques

Good analytical and documentation skills

Ability to work with site teams and consultants

Strong communication & problem-solving ability

Qualifications

Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field

2–7 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and planning

Experience in geospatial or survey-based projects preferred
