Job Description: Business Development Executive (BDE)
Location: indore
Reporting To: Showroom Manager / Director
Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM (or until customer closure)
Travel Allowance: ₹3/km (for all approved field visits)
Employment Bond: Minimum 2-year service agreement
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly energetic, responsible, and growth-oriented Business Development Executive (BDE) who will take complete ownership of the showroom operations, field visits, customer interaction, and sales development. The BDE will be accountable for achieving sales targets, maintaining showroom standards, and handling all customer/architect/vendor visits professionally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Showroom Management
- Full responsibility for day-to-day showroom operations.
- Ensure all product displays are properly arranged, updated, and presentable.
- Maintain stock visibility, price tags, and product hygiene.
- Ensure the showroom is always customer-ready and professionally managed.
- Handle walk-in customers, demonstrate products, and close sales.
2. Sales & Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets assigned by the management.
- Identify high-potential product categories and push sales proactively.
- Follow up with potential leads, quotations, and conversions.
- Ensure performance justifies the salary and incentives provided.
3. Field Visits & Business Development
- Visit architects, builders, contractors, interior designers, and key clients as required.
- Generate new business opportunities through regular follow-ups.
- Attend site visits whenever required for product briefings or demos.
- ₹3/km will be paid for all travel done for official work.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with industry professionals.
4. Customer Handling & Communication
- Provide excellent customer service both at the showroom and on-site.
- Understand customer needs and offer smart solutions.
- Handle escalations and ensure timely follow-up until closure.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain daily visit reports, customer logs, and sales updates.
- Coordinate with backend, logistics, and accounts teams for smooth operations.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 1–3 years experience in sales, showroom operations, or business development (preferred in electrical, lighting, electronics, tiles, hardware, or building materials).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Must be comfortable with field visits and client meetings.
- Passionate to learn, grow, and handle responsibilities independently.
- Must be disciplined, target-driven, and self-motivated.
Employment Terms
- The candidate must agree to a 2-year employment bond due to training, onboarding, and high operational responsibility.
- Candidates with long-term career vision and stability will be preferred.
