Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding the company’s solar business by generating leads, closing sales, and building strong customer relationships across residential and small commercial segments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Generation
* Identify and develop new business opportunities in residential and small commercial solar markets
* Generate leads through field visits, referrals, and local networking
* Sales & Conversion
* Handle complete sales cycle from prospecting to closure
* Conduct site visits and client meetings to pitch solar solutions
* Convert leads into revenue-generating customers
* Revenue Management
* Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
* Drive consistent revenue growth through disciplined execution
* Client Relationship Management
* Maintain strong relationships with customers for repeat business and referrals
* Coordinate with internal teams for smooth project execution
* Track competitor activities and pricing trends
* Identify new market opportunities in the assigned territory
Candidate Requirements
* 1–4 years of experience in **sales/business development** (solar/energy preferred)
* Strong **field sales experience**
* Good communication and negotiation skills
* Basic understanding of **solar products and installation process** preferred
* Highly **disciplined, target-driven, and self-motivated**
* Must be comfortable with travel and field work
* Two-wheeler preferred
