Job Summary

The primary objective of a Delivery Boy is to pick up packages, documents, or food orders from a central location (warehouse, restaurant, or store) and deliver them to customers' doorsteps within a specified timeframe. 

Key Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment: Safely transport items to customers, ensuring they arrive in good condition and at the correct address.
• Route Planning: Use GPS and navigation tools to determine the most efficient routes, avoiding traffic and meeting delivery windows.
• Customer Interaction: Provide professional service, handle customer queries, and verify deliveries using digital signatures or OTP (One-Time Password) verification.
• Payment Collection: Handle cash-on-delivery (COD) transactions or manage digital payment links via apps.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct basic checks (fuel, tire pressure, oil) to ensure the delivery vehicle is safe and operational.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and any issues encountered (e.g., failed delivery attempts or damaged goods). 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License: Typically requires a valid license for a two-wheeler or four-wheeler, depending on the role.
• Documentation: Possession of a clean driving record and, in many cases, a personal smartphone for using delivery apps.
• Time Management: The ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to load/unload packages (often up to 50 lbs) and navigate stairs or varied weather conditions.
• Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with local geography, neighborhoods, and shortcuts.
