Education Counsellor

Education Counselor guides students on academic paths, career choices, and personal development by assessing skills, offering personalized advice on courses/colleges, assisting with applications, and facilitating workshops, working with students, parents, and educators to help them achieve their full potential and navigate educational challenges. Key duties involve individual counseling, goal setting, career exploration, study skills development, and managing academic stress, focusing on both academic success and personal growth. 

Key Responsibilities

• Student Assessment: Evaluate students' strengths, weaknesses, interests, and goals through assessments and interviews.
• Academic Guidance: Advise on course selection, study habits, time management, and overcoming academic challenges like test anxiety.
• Career & College Planning: Provide information on educational programs, career options, universities, scholarships, and assist with college/admission applications.
• Support & Mentorship: Offer one-on-one or group counseling, help develop coping strategies, and support overall student well-being.
• Collaboration: Work with parents, teachers, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
• Workshops & Seminars: Organize sessions on study skills, career readiness, and application processes.
• Record Keeping: Maintain confidential records of student progress and counseling sessions. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field.
• Skills: Strong communication, empathy, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of educational trends.
