Position Overview:

The Head of Sales and Operations will serve as the second-in-command, reporting directly to the CEO. This pivotal role will lead the transformation of our sales and operations strategies, leveraging strong market demand to maximize efficiency, revenue, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in logistics, marketplace operations, and team leadership, capable of rebuilding processes to scale the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to optimize sales and operations, aligning with the company’s growth objectives.

• Process Reengineering: Redesign and streamline sales and operations workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer experience while leveraging existing demand.
• Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow the sales team to drive revenue growth, establish KPIs, and expand market share through targeted strategies.
• Operations Management: Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring seamless execution, cost efficiency, and high service quality for all stakeholders.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage high-performing sales and operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and implement continuous improvements in processes and outcomes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, carriers, and partners to enhance platform value and retention.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and technology teams to align operational capabilities with market needs and platform enhancements.
• Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L for sales and operations, ensuring cost-effective growth and profitability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, marketplace platforms, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success in rebuilding sales and operations processes to drive growth and efficiency in a high-demand environment.
• Strong understanding of logistics marketplaces, including shipper and carrier dynamics, pricing models, and operational challenges.
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in leveraging data to inform strategy and optimize performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build lasting relationships.
• Experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment; familiarity with SaaS or marketplace platforms is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
